Above is a artist’s rendering of what my open class may look like this Friday. Yep. Had the first official meeting of the minds today. Some (certainly not all) of the highlights are: arguing over the difference between “I hope to have it done on Monday” (what I said) vs. “I will have it done on Monday” (what she thinks I said), arguing over the material of the lesson (which I explained to her last Friday), arguing why she even is even showing up to the open lesson (having done nothing to this point), arguing about the lesson plan paperwork that is supposed to be turned in a week before the class (which I didn’t know) and most humorous of all, being criticized for not doing my work and just listening to music all the time (hypocritical much?). All in all, the discussion took over an hour. Which is ironic, since I was told that time is of the essence.
I highly encourage anyone who can come to do so. It’s gonna be a show. Bring some popcorn.
