So the co-teacher finally approached me about the open lesson for next Friday. I especially liked the part where she initially hesitated when I told her what I was doing. I’m sure the thought process was something like this: “Well, I don’t like that he’s doing the lesson on a past chapter, maybe I should say something….Nope, scratch that. I’m just too damn lazy and he’s doing all the work anyways. Fuck it.”
I’m curious to hear from those who have done them. What is the percentage split supposed to be between the 2 teachers? Cuz my wrangler said I’m supposed to teach 80-90% of the time. If I’m making and preparing the lesson solely on my own, then teaching 80-90% of the time, why the fuck do I even have her in the first place? She can just take a nap or something, maybe do some online shopping in the office. Doesn’t bother me.

Man… it’s so different each time that there’s probably not even a point to comparing. Personally I’ve had two open classes thus far, and I planned all my own lessons but teaching was about 50-50. If you’re gonna teach mostly on your own, then that’s better… Because, as we all know, the Korean teacher is the one getting evaluated in all these open classes. It can be like revenge. :D -Anna
